UX Design

Hidden Peaks Roasters
Family owned coffee shop that I started working on helping with advertisements for Social Media, did a redesign for a mobile app for them. I just wanted to help them with their online sales and any help I could to make sure they stay in business through the 2020 pandemic.

Unsheltered Help
Unsheltered Help is an app to try and raise awareness, coordinate support, and give direction on how to help. My hope is that this will help humanize the unsheltered population and get them resources they desperately need.

eSys Health Monitoring
The eSys app was an idea to help encourage health diet and activities. The app would link devices such as a DexCom, Fitbit, and other devices on one central app. It will have health tips, diet planning, and meal prep ideas.
My UX Design Process
This is a much larger undertaking than my clients have been willing to see through to the end. I have collected as much information from each client as I have been able to get them to commit. Each project is a learning experience.
I have done every aspect of the full UX Design process over several clients. Ranging from web design, social media ads, analytics, user research, digital art, and product mockups.
First SWOT Analysis Strength, Weakness, Opportunity, and Threats. This is a great place to start getting major points out in the beginning of the design. List two to four for each of these items. These four questions are a first step to creating content for the Competitive Audit. Of course the Competitive Audit is formed after user research. Web Audit is also another step in the fist of my UX Process. Applying best practices and creating simplistic functionality is the first thing to look at on a site audit. If time permits, use of heat mapping and user interviews gather the reasons and what was expected to happen upon clicking. The heat map will give great data on where the user is clicking. This gives insight into the usability of the current site, this is also used in iterations of prototypes with usability studies.
Second Research Users. This is done by accessing social media following or any other user data. First is creating Personas, which guide the user journey maps. The other things that go into a persona are problem statements, if/then statements, user stories, goal statements, This will help guide the case studies and research plan. Collection of data from as many actual users is always ideal. Two and Three over lap, prototype to test usability.
Third is Prototype the app or redesign a site, and conduct further user research. The main goal is to gather data to create personas for as many users that will drive iterations off their feedback. Constructing a user journey map from the personas. Gathering the information for use in presentation of findings later in the design process.
The competitive audit is given after the prototype has been tested on users. Building the app or redesign the site, then get users to test. Ideally thirty users with quantitative and qualitative methods such as questionnaires and heat mapping would be used. After the feedback from moderated remote interviews and compiling the questionnaires.
I am working on getting an A.I. to collect and do the calculations for Chi Square Tests to help give data analysis for the questionnaires and other data sets. I am currently learning Python to further the data analytics with User Research.
Graphics and Design This part is something I provide if they do not have access to a design department. Creation of graphic web elements, print, logo, and social media campaign ads. From fine art mediums to computer graphic design. I have been learning and using A I tools and programs such as Photoshop to create content. I enjoy the collaboration for social media content. I have done website, logo design, print, apparel, social media ads, and packaging mockups.
