About Me
I graduated in 2016 from the University of Utah with a B.S. of Psychology and a certificate in Human Factors. I ran user centered labs at the university. I just recently finished the Google UX Design Bootcamp on Coursera. I am currently working on learning Python and 3D modeling.
I got into UX Design to solve problems. The attraction is research of users and gathering quantifiable data to tell stories. A site audit is like a cover up tattoo. Taking the old content and creating better deliverables.
The heart of a fine artist, but always loved technical mediums. I love the things that can be created with digital mediums. Photoshop and Sketchpad Pro are great for taking traditional mediums and expanding them. I am currently playing with A.I. (artificial intelligence) to see what I can expand with photoshop.
Studying psychology I learned about human behavior. I also learned the most you can do is stack the probabilities in your favor when trying to predict human behavior. It will be interesting to see how A.I. fits into the grand scheme of things with its predictions. Until we automate our lives, it could be a valuable tool if used right.
I was doing freelance graphic web design, then Covid hit. I took a job in public health, this job led me to pursue developing one of my app ideas. Unsheltered Help is an app to try and raise awareness, coordinate support, and give direction on how to help. My hope is that this will help humanize the unsheltered population and get them resources they desperately need.
